NEW ORLEANS, L.A. – Today, Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-La.) announced the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is allocating $1,355,554,552 in funds from the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program to help close the digital divide. Louisiana’s grant was in the top ten highest awards through this program.

NEW ORLEANS, L.A. – Today, Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-La.) announced the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority has received a $71,439,261 grant to put new American-built buses on the road and improve transit service. The grants, administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration, were made possible by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which Rep. Carter helped get passed in Congress.

This funding was made possible through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which Congressman Carter supported.
