Carter, Sr. (D-LA) announced new funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for Dillard University and the United Way of Southeast Louisiana through the Community Change Grants Program. They will receive $19.94 million to reduce air pollution and strengthen community resilience to natural disasters.

Carter, Sr. (D-LA) announced new funding administered by the Department of Commerce and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for Louisiana through the Climate Resilience Regional Challenge. Awardees in Louisiana will receive $59.8 million for three projects to make the state’s coast more resilient to impacts from the climate crisis, including sea level rise and stronger tropical storms.
