WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-LA) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will grant $61,544,718 to New Orleans East through the Neighborhood Access and Equity Program. This is for the Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety and Mobility project and was made possible through the Inflation Reduction Act that Congressman Carter helped craft and voted for.

WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-LA) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will grant $75,187,718 to LA-02 through the Neighborhood Access and Equity Program. The City of New Orleans will receive $61,544,718 for the Connecting New Orleans East for Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety and Mobility project. Baton Rouge will receive $13,643,000 for the Thomas Road Improvements project.
