Congressman Carter Statement on Senate Government Funding Vote

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Troy A. Carter Sr. (D-LA) released the following statement in response to the Senate’s vote on a partisan, extreme government funding bill:

“This spending bill is a sham and expands Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s power, doing nothing to help the American people. It will hurt Louisianians by cutting healthcare, nutritional assistance, and veterans’ benefits.

“I proudly voted against this bill in the House and will continue fighting against the tyranny of this administration through legislation, through the courts, and through grassroots advocacy.”
