Congressman Carter Statement on Damaging Tornado in New Orleans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Troy A. Carter (LA-02) issued the following statement regarding the tornado that touched down in New Orleans early Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

"Today, our community arose to the devastating impact of an EF-0 tornado that touched down between Claiborne and Carrolton before traveling across the Mississippi River to Algiers, said Congressman Carter. Fortunately, I am thankful to report that no one sustained severe injuries on Wednesday.

As those that sustained damage begin the journey toward recovery, I want everyone to know that my office is working with state and local officials to help those displaced or impacted by this event get the relief they need."
