Carter, Sr. (D-LA) joined Senior Advisor to the President, White House Infrastructure Coordinator, and former Mayor of New Orleans Mitch Landrieu where they announced project selections for new climate resilience funding for Louisiana totaling $207M.

Carter, Sr. (D-La.) announced that he was appointed to represent Region 7 as part of Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries' newly created Regional Leadership Council. Region 7 includes Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and the Virgin Islands.
